Loss Lake Kindle È Kindle Edition loss pdf, lake ebok, Loss LakeLoss Lake eBookA new town, new life, a fresh start for a widow, all until someone drowns off Mallory's lakefront beach...The concept pulled me right in. One of the things I love about Amber Cowie's writing is that she is a master of simplicity and carefully guarded secrets in her characters. The combination makes ordinary things like a sound in the woods or footprints in the snow endlessly creepy, and you're not sure whether to root for her characters or distrust them. The supernatural pull of the lake and the effect it had on the town was also a plus for me. Special thanks to Amber Cowie and Lake Union Publishing for a sneak peek at this one. It's a perfect mystery for a cozy winter read.

Loss Lake Kindle È Kindle Edition loss pdf, lake ebok, Loss LakeLoss Lake eBookCowie does such a good job of keeping the reader on their toes, hiding facets of her characters and then revealing them when you least expect it. I was almost finished reading this book and I still had no idea where it was going or who the murderer was—just a growing sense that every inkling and assumption I'd had so far was wrong. The ending was unexpected and perfect. Very cinematic; I want this adapted to film.
I loved the western Canadian setting too; it was a character in and of itself and I felt like I was there (which was a gift since I haven't been ANYWHERE in such a long time).
Such a good autumn read—creepy, thoughtful, and compelling. And Canadian. ;)

I love when a thriller comes together, tightly bundled, exuding charm, completely chilling, and downright stunning!
This is a fast turner with all the heart stopping action you'd expect from a Lake Union author such as Amber Cowie.
In this situation we have a widow name Mallory Dent who recently moved to McNamara after her husband's passing two years

Interesting story, solid mystery that begins to slowly drag you in. Mystery heats up in the back half, and then... that ending. The reason for the title of the review. Great book, and clearly shows Cowie's growth as a storyteller and writer on now her 3rd effort. But that ending... well, r
